Spring 2024 Auditions

Thank you for your interest in choral singing at Cornell! To sign up for an audition, visit https://www.singatcornell.com/audition.

We try to make the audition process as low-stress as possible. We are just so excited to hear that you want to sing at Cornell, and we just want to hear your beautiful voice!

All auditions will be held in Lincoln Hall, room 233. The audition process will include sight reading, singing scales, and singing the chorus of any song of your choice. Please arrive 5-10min early to your audition slot to fill out your audition form. Good luck!

Auditionees will sign up for a 10-minute audition time slot with Joseph Lerangís, the director of the Cornell University Chorus and Glee Club. Please arrive 10 minutes before your chosen audition time and wait in the front lobby. There will be current members of the groups to greet you and to answer questions about the ensembles. In the audition, students can expect to be taken through several vocal exercises and pitch-matching tests, and will also be tested on sight reading.
